Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 628 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Los Angeles and suggests consistent service.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolutely loved Tigawok! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. I loved the mini bowl concept because it made it easy to try different dishes, and everything I tried was quite delicious. The portions were satisfying, the food was flavorful, and the entire experience was quick and enjoyable. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They truly made the experience even better with their great service. I also thought it was cool that they had a robotic wok cooker in the back kitchen. Overall, Tigawok is such a fun spot in Sawtelle for a quick bite, and Iβll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere fast-casual to eat!

Amazing food! As a Hongkonger, eating here truly makes me feel like home. The flavors are super good, deeply comforting, and highly authentic. I got a bowl with mapo tofu and pepper beef over rice, and both dishes were spot on. Highly recommended if you are looking for real, high-quality flavors in Sawtelle!

Quite late to the party but better than never. They were so hyped back then with the viral videos of the robots cooking. Many of the dishes feel similar-ish to the βyou-know-whatβ brand, but Iβd say they try to make bit of twist and the dishes turn out not bad! Minor things, but the food containers and to-go bag also come in decent quality and design! Dining-in is convenient as well despite the limited space. If you donβt mind eat while standing, more spots are available for sure. Bonus points, given the meals are ready-to-serve, you get to eat instantly upon ordering. We tried Pepper Kurobuta Pork and their #1 Orange Peel Chicken. The prior was tad too salty for my liking despite the meat texture was good. I certainly preferred the latter as it ticked all the boxes from tenderness, flavor, and portion. Would specifically call out the chili sauce they provided for self-grab at the counter as it was SO SO GOOD!

Overall the place is an interesting concept and the food is very hit or miss, the eggplants were good and the kurabuta pork dish was really good, but things like the cola chicken were really not it. The ordering experience is interesting due to the wait times for the food, the staff is really friendly but the system seems a tiny bit awkward. Getting a few items for <$17 is really filling I'll say. I would come back again to try new items but I definitely feel like there are some dishes that are great and some you should look into more before ordering if possible, definitely try the dishes before hand if they're still giving samples.

Great little place for Chinese food amongst the much available option in Sawtelle. The place is clean and comfortable, but with limited seating. Staff are professional and friendly in my time of visit, working at a relatively reasonable speed. Food is fantastic, authentic-feeling, and with great portions! Overall, conceptually adjacent to the paradigm of Panda Express, but with pork menu, better looks and feel, but/and less fast-food-esque and more homey.
